MOTOR CITY SOUNDS is a 10-piece band that plays Motown and Soul music. The band performs songs from artists such as Stevie Wonder, Jackson 5, The Supremes, Martha & The Vandellas, The Temptations, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye & James Brown.
Not just another cover band, “Motor City Sounds” recreates the sound and atmosphere of Motown and Soul music from the 60s and 70s. A funky rhythm section, smooth harmonies and a their super-cool horns will keep you dancing all night.
Each band member brings a wealth of experience in the music industry, including a top 20 finalist from “X-factor”, a former member of “The John Butler Trio”, a “Don Lane Show” band member, and regular performances with some of Australia’s top musicians, including Neil Murray and Brett Garsed (John Farnham band).
Available to perform a purely Motown tribute or a full night of Soul hits from all your favourite artists.
