Sadly with the passing of Joe Cocker in Dec 2014 the world lost the wild man of Rock n Blues. His music spanned five decades and pleased both young and old alike. His rough blues style voice and stage presentation set him apart from the rest. Now you can revisit the experience that was Joe Cocker, through the exciting new concept band Cocker Happy.
Melbourne’s (Aust) George Grayland has always presented with an uncanny resemblance to the late great Joe Cocker. A likeness that caught the attention of the legend himself, resulting in numerous meetings between George and his idol Joe, both here and overseas. Local fans through the 80’s and 90’s already had dubbed George as our ‘Local Joe’. Through countless performances up front of renowned cover band ‘Living Proof’ and a celebrity status circulating in an era of Karaoke, it was inevitable that George Grayland and his idol likeness Joe Cocker would one day combine for the ultimate tribute…presenting Cocker Happy.
From the early days of The Letter through to his last concert Fire It Up. From the haunting You Are So Beautiful to the raunchy Leave Your Hat On,
Cocker Happy’s 8pce show band gives you the Music, gives you the Man, gives you the legend that is Joe Cocker.
